Business Management Associate - Global Markets - CAO - Investment Bank (2-7 yrs)

Role & Responsibilities :

- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the GM CAO - Business Management team, based in Powai, partnering with the AEJ (Asia ex-Japan) GM Business Management team.

- The individual will be joining an existing team of Business Managers, working closely with them and various Desk Heads.

- She/ he will assume day-to-day responsibilities which will contribute towards business management, performance monitoring, managing infrastructure/processes which support AEJ GM as well as driving key business initiatives that are critical for the growth and day to day operation of the franchise.

- The role would require working with all the functions in the GM space - Trading, Sales, Research & Structuring and with all the Corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

- Owning and Driving business initiatives to achieve GM business objectives; both regional and global in nature

- Strategic Business Analysis, Management Presentations

- Management presentations to analyze and summarize revenue, expenses, resource consumption, client interactions and other management reporting metrics.

- Help quantify new business opportunities in partnership with business managers / Front Office as well as corporate functions

- Monitor preparation / Prepare weekly business summaries which include financial metrics and business commentary for Senior Management.

- Partnering with Technology, Operations, Finance and other Corporate functions

- To own day to day issues pertaining to corporate function and ensure closure.

- Drive the process for new products from the front office in co-ordination with the front office/ new products team and corporate function

- Control and Conduct

- Ensuring adherence to business policies.

- Owning Audit points and driving closure

- Expense approval, tracking and expense management.

- Owning business continuity management (BCM)

- Front Office Supervision (FOS)

Mind Set :

- Good Knowledge of Capital Market products and asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Forex, Derivatives)

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and regional counterparts at senior levels

- Strong Analytical and Situational Problem solving skills.

- Good understanding of the Trade Lifecycle and various corporate functions along the Trade Life cycle

- Excellent MS Power-point, Excel and Word skills

- Good project management skills - planning, coordination/ execution, senior management reporting

- Prior experience of driving initiatives in the Global Markets space.

- Is entrepreneurial and independent; a self-starter, takes ownership, exhibits integrity, initiative, strong motivation and attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure

- Ambition and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging role

- Prior experience in strategy roles would be an added advantage
