Job Summary:

- The person will be responsible the - BI Enablers Team as part of the Europe Business Intelligence Center of Excellence. Therefore, the person should have very strong Business Intelligence skills and will be managing a team of 3 people.

- The person should be able to translate the business briefs into accurate IT/platform development plans and will manage platform development accordingly.

- Alongside of this, the person will be responsible for the Multi-Sources reporting expansion (Household panel, Product preference, Brand preference- ) and will be responsible for the share-out and tracking of the Nielsen panel

Functional Responsibilities:

i. Co-own data management strategy - define the way we collect, store, maintain and automate commercial data sources and assess improvement potential for the existing strategy

ii. Conduct periodic data quality checks

iii. Own and maintain existing commercial reporting landscape; assess automation and harmonization potential and align with commercial stakeholders on their reporting needs

iv. Based on the assessment, transform the existing reporting into PowerBI dashboards; develop new reports if needed

v. Use tools like Alteryx and Azure Databricks to prepare data for analytics use cases

vi. Work with commercial teams and translate their strategic business questions into analytics use cases

vii. Lift and shift, tailor and run existing sDNA/cDNA data science models - Python/R based

viii. Translate the results of the models into business recommendations and impact

ix. Act as a data and analytics evangelist, be at the forefront of data-driven models and insights and lead others to leverage data in their decision making

Accountabilities : 

i. Databases management :

- Communicate weekly updates on DB situations

- Bring clarity to the whole BI CoE and BI Lead on quality issues

- Craft and track plans to course correct quality issues

ii. Design reporting and business intelligence products including visualizations & self-service tools Manage project delivery, including estimating timelines and identifying risks

- Collaborate with BI CoE - Make an Impact- manager and his team to get clarity on development briefs

- Manage & coordinate the work with Tableau developpers alongside and in collaboration with the Global BI GBS Team

- Present products to business users and seek feedback for continued improvement

iii. Improve the PPD Platform users experience

iv. Maintain documentation and user guides for created products

v. Create and maintain documentation of the Local / Global database differences

vi. Create a documentation out of all issues encountered by the end users and bring it to life for end users in a user friendly way to maximize end users autonomy & great UX.

Key Skills Required:

- Post Graduate Degree (MBA Preferred, Statistical background preferred)

- 9+ years of experience with analytics and developing BI solutions

- Extensive development experience with visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau etc.)

- User interface design capabilities supporting high quality visual and functional experience

- Excellent project management skills esp. with managing supporting teams

- Advanced Excel skills

- Programming in Python or JavaScript a plus

- Expert on - Point of Sale - (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs, One Click Retail etc.) databases/metrics a must

- Structured thinker / problem solver who works independently

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Very strong Team Management skills (experience required in this field and especially in remote team management)

- Great Collaborator

- Language: English Fluent

Differentiating Competencies Required : 

- Developer / Data Scientist background

- Top tier business intelligence / reporting / visualization skills

- Complete understanding of BI reporting platforms

- Comfortable with syndicated data analytics (especially Retail Panel) and statistical modeling

- Solution-oriented approach to problem solving / Creative with hacking mind-set

- Ability to challenge requests in a constructive way that does not damage relationships or slow progress

- Strong analytical thinking with proven ability to connect data & to digestible representations to generate insights
