Hiring for a leading Pharmaceutical Group having operations across the Globe
Job Purpose
Purpose of this position is to
- To plan, direct and profitably manage the full operations of the business effectively. To deliver the rapid business expansion that is expected within the Business unit.
- Achieve budgeted targets and market shares through strong brand building and customer reach out activities.
Responsible for full spectrum of business to ensure that business is run profitably.
Sales & Marketing:
- AOP Volume Planning
- Execute all aspects of sales and marketing activities, such as brand management, pricing, communications & marketing promotion.
- Coordinate with central S&M and supply chain for meeting the forecast accuracy targets.
- Proactively do competitor analysis and take actions based on the information
Financial Management :
- Control, minimize and efficiently manage the allocated resources of the business.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate financial statements and various management reports to the HQ.
- Knowledge of Bank Procedures
Operations & Supply Chain:
- Prepare annual budgets, country and regional strategies and long-term business plans.
- Direct the local supply chain team to manage and control all activities and processes related to logistics, container imports & customs clearance, warehousing and internal freight, etc.
- Build a 1st class working relationship with the regulatory bodies and various other local government authorities for the smooth functioning of the business.
Human Resources & Administration:
- Develop the organizational structure and team while clearly outlining responsibilities and accountabilities for the team members.
- Drive the HR initiatives of recruiting, motivating, evaluating performance, training and retaining high- performing individuals.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: Graduate - B Pharm OR Life Sciences. MBA full time is preferred.
Experience: 25 years in Pharma Sales & Marketing of which at least 4-6 years of experience in Africa in Sales & Marketing.
- Competencies: Balances multiple priorities/ Product knowledge / Pharma knowledge/ Analytics - strong in numbers/ Negotiation/ Commercial skills/ Organizing and Co - ordination capabilities/ Market/Sales/Customer focus.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English. Knowledge of Portuguese is preferable.
