Business Head


We are hiring for a Business Head for Secured Loans for a NBFC Client , the role will be crucial in leading and managing the secured loan lending operations for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the loan portfolio while maintaining a high level of risk management and profitability.

Location will be either Pune, Bangalore or Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the secured loan business segment, aligned with the overall business objectives and market trends. This includes setting growth targets, identifying target customer segments, and defining product offerings.

- Portfolio Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of the secured loan portfolio for SMEs. This involves assessing creditworthiness, evaluating collateral, structuring loan packages, and monitoring the performance of existing loans. Continuously analyze and manage risk exposure to maintain a healthy loan book.

- Business Development: Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Establish and maintain relationships with SMEs, industry associations, financial intermediaries, and other relevant stakeholders. Actively participate in industry events and conferences to promote the organization's secured loan products and services.

- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of loan officers and support staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure the team has the skills and knowledge required to meet targets and deliver exceptional customer service. Foster a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices in lending. Develop and implement effective risk management frameworks, including credit risk assessment, collateral valuation, and mitigation strategies. Regularly monitor portfolio performance and implement proactive measures to address any identified risks or issues.

- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on loan portfolio performance, business development activities, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use insights to refine strategies and make data-driven decisions.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, risk management, legal, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of objectives and seamless execution of secured lending operations. Engage with external stakeholders, such as regulators, auditors, and industry associations, to maintain strong relationships and stay updated on industry developments.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) from Premium College (Must)

- Extensive experience in secured loans lending, specifically focused on SMEs.

- Proven track record of successfully managing a loan portfolio and achieving business growth targets.

- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, collateral evaluation, and loan structuring.

- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management practices in the financial industry.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

- Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.

- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
