Business Head - Leasing

We have an opportunity with one of our client in Tanzania, Africa.

Position: Business Head Leasing

Location: Tanzania/ Kenya

Job Description:

- The incumbent will be responsible for the running and profitability of the leasing business.

- Identifying the product lines in which the leasing activity can be profitably extended.

- Conduct initial and continuing market study to develop the business of operating lease of vehicles. Leads will be available from the existing dealership historical records.

- Prepare the estimate of project investment required and detailed economics to test the feasibility and present to the Board of Directors to get their approval for the overall strategy.

- Develop various options for the customers to hire vehicles and pricing of the lease rentals under different options.

- Management of the fleet under lease including preventive and breakdown management.

- Develop the strategies and policies for recalling and replacing the vehicles under lease.

- Develop the used vehicles market in due course including management of reconditioning of vehicles and meeting the challenge from the grey market.

- Prepare the annual budget for profit and capital expenditure planning and get it approved by the Board of Directors.

- Prepare the plan for the recruitment of the personnel required for the business including strategy for selection, get it approved and implement.

- Open channels for leasing business through branches and dealer network of existing motor business and training of personnel.

- Liaison with Government Departments, agencies and large fleet owners for developing the business in a planned manner.

Education and Experience:

- 15+ years of experience of leasing business and fleet management.

- Hands on experience in setting up of leasing business.

- MBA in Finance would be preferable.

- Commercial aptitude and flair for figures.

- A techno commercial person with business qualifications.

- Hands on experience in pricing of lease rentals under various options.

- Innovative ideas of business development for revenue enhancement.

- Experience in asset lifecycle maintenance.

- Experience in ERP systems especially with reference to leasing business.
