Business Head


ROLE OUTLINE :

- Develop business plans and execution strategy (road map) to leverage Organisation's resources and utilise market- opportunities. Foresee business needs and drive initiatives as leader while being responsible for organisations - continuous positive growth w.r.t. profitability indicators. Oversee all functions regularly to ensure they are constantly moving towards fulfilment of organization's strategic goals.


- Includes driving strategy for branding, positioning, campaigning, offline & online marketing strategy, team management, financial planning, costing, resource management, etc. while upholding high level of standards in customer service. Lead & guide Department Heads to implement strategic plans.

CANDIDATE PROFILE :

- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical skills & hands-on aptitude for e-commerce.

- Enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced environment, and keen to build & manage an incredible team.

- Prior Brand or marketing experience and exposure related to customer relationship management, product design & development would be of high advantage.

- Prior experience of working in a startup would be useful.

- Good financial acumen with an analytical outlook towards things to be able to handle P&L of business.

Strategic Planning & Leading Business :

- Driving initiatives to maximise efficiency and improve profitability; direct and coordinate operational, financial, budgeting & processes related to resource utilisation.

- Design and implement plans for expansion into new markets and territories.

- Business forecasting, calculating product costs and setting price, specially for new products.

- Develop MIS Management, Control systems, etc. for maintaining records and tracking Service standards with

- Department Heads. Take ownership to continuously refine these further in practice that minimise errors and boosts overall productivity.

- Design, develop and ensure implementation of critical SOPs. Monitor periodical audit to ensure compliance.

- Working closely with Finance to calculate and present financial reports, EBIDTA to management every month

- Review financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and to determine areas needing cost reduction or modifications in overall business model.

- Brings issues & concerns of prime importance to the Board (as appropriate) in order to facilitate policy-making.

Brand Strategy & Its Implementation :

- Create, launch and implement Brand strategy to continuously enhance visibility in market.

- Collaborate with Marketing team to build & implement off-line and on-line Go-to-Market strategy, Print/ Social/ Digital Marketing campaigns, Community management, etc. (with internal team/ external vendors).

- Strategise to educate and create interest about company's products for customers through different conventional & un-conventional techniques and to effect positioning in the mind of customers and gain market share.

- Maintain awareness of both external & internal competitive landscape, customers, markets, industry developments and standards and keep abreast in exploring new opportunities.

Augmenting Customer Experience :

- Implement relevant Customer Engagement programs and create high levels of customer satisfaction at both physical and online stores. Identifying specific customer/ market requirements wherever possible.

- Devising & implementing strategies for reducing customer returns.

- Work with Sales Head and establish a process of handling customer requirements generated from different sources - IVR, Sales Leads, through cold calls, referrals, etc.

- Establish & drive a process of issue resolution and handling of escalations (recommendations based on product specifications, order status, etc.) thereby increasing order closure ratio consistently.

- Work closely with all department heads in customer expansion and retention of key customers.

- Participate in development of robust, new-age and advanced IT systems, E-commerce platforms and other technological User interfaces to ensure best service is provided to customers at all touch points.

Achieving Operational Excellence :

- Oversee the operations of all units - Product Design, Operations, Marketing (Digital & Offline), IT, Finance, Quality, Purchase and others.

- Play a significant role in short, medium & long term planning and initiatives towards operational excellence.

- Determining needs, reducing costs and analysing areas requiring improvement.

- Controlling ware house operations and overseeing management of inventory levels for all products.

- Direct Designing team for creating product portfolio of new products to be launched in next collection

- Lead resource acquisition, purchases/ procurement processes and build a good supplier base for all products. Ensure supplier base continuously expands and accommodates new products as well.

- Managing quality team and leading quality agenda throughout the process.

Team Management :

- Establish metrics to enable internal reviews & corrective actions wherever needed.

- Discussions with Department Heads and analyse reports of business operations and critical processes to provide recommendations, feedback & guidance as relevant.

- Cultivate a cohesive and comfortable working environment, mediating interpersonal issues within the team.

- Ensure that all members understand the team's objectives and work together to achieve it. Constant monitoring to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal
