Business Head - D2C - Food (15-28 yrs)
As the Business Head for the FMCG Food Business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth strategy, overseeing operations, and driving profitability. You will lead a dedicated team and be responsible for achieving financial targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring that the products meet and exceed customer expectations.
1. Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, product innovations, and strategic partnerships to drive growth.
- Establish clear business goals and KPIs to measure performance and success.
2. P&L Management:
- Take ownership of the profit and loss statement for the Fresh & FMCG food business segment.
- Drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability through effective financial management.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
3. Market Expansion:
- Lead market research to identify customer preferences, market trends, and competitive insights.
- Develop and execute market expansion plans to capture new territories and increase market share.
- Build and nurture relationships with key distributors, retailers, and partners.
4. Product Development and Innovation:
- Oversee product development efforts, ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and innovative.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to introduce new products and improvements to existing ones.
- Maintain product quality and safety standards.
5. Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the business unit.
- Recruit, train, and develop top talent to support business growth.
6. Brand and Marketing:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute branding and marketing strategies.
- Ensure that our brand messaging and marketing campaigns effectively resonate with target audiences.
- Monitor brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and food safety protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and adapt business practices accordingly.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of at least 15+ years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG food industry.
- Deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics, trends, and consumer behavior.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to turn insights into actionable plans.
- Results-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
