Business Finance Leader will work closely & report to the CFO and Vertical Head . He/she would be a key team member overlooking and reviewing the business vertical.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business partnership role - work with vertical, Corporate Finance and Horizontal leader as business partner
- Provide leadership on business finance, supporting all the teams to set and meet financial goals; provide financial analysis and reporting; and ensure data driven decisions; lead preparation of Budget, short and long range forecasts for the businesses
- Provide operational support for key areas of the business, including deal structuring & pricing decisions, contracts negotiations, business planning, and the operating model
- Understand the operating levers of the business and advice on contingency plans and strategies for meeting agreed bottom-line and top-line targets
- Support the leadership team with advice on the financial implications of business activities. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- End to end ownership of the P&L, Customer profitability, Deal pricing
- In-depth Business analysis to help drive improvement in Vertical performance
- Ensuring annual budget preparation basis of previous year's learnings and Vertical goals
- Design and roll out key performance indicators for the Business
- Identify risks & improvement means to enable senior management to deliver budgetary targets
- Conduct detailed and comprehensive Vertical analysis to ensure- Vertical performance , portfolio improvement and enabling optimal utilization to maximize the Efficiency
- Leads complex financial analysis for global business or finance function, exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
- Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business.
- Consults with business leaders to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g., long-term business planning, project or opportunity analysis and development, balancing risk, approving significant deals, etc.)
- Proactively drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function/Vertical globally.
- Actively reviews, analyzes, and manages the key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements with support of Tax team.
- Works with teams based out of different geographies to drive the desired outcome. Requires flexibility of working across time zones
- Provides leadership during implementation of business-wide programs and Initiatives.
- Conducting relevant market and secondary research to explore new venues of improvement in existing business - benchmarking, best market practices. Then advising senior management on how to introduce these in business.
EXPERIENCE & CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Qualified CA or MBA Finance with ~ 10-15+ years of post qualification experience
- Significant functional competence of managing a holistic finance function with exposure to accounting and financial operations
Candidates having experience from IT industry will be an added advantage.
