Business Finance Lead - IT

Required Information Details :

Role : Business Finance team lead and members for product/platform division, called as SGB (Strategic Growth Business) group

Required : Technical Skill Set, Financial Management Skills

No of Requirements : 4 - 10 years relevant experience

Location of Requirement : Bangalore

- Educational Qualification with % marks compliance.

- CA or MBA finance

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) :

Must-Have :

- Experience within product entity in IT space

- Understanding and involvement in strategic planning and annual business plan of the unit

- Involvement in contract finalization and construct for various product and platform offerings of the company

- Understanding of the accounting aspect on product / platform business

- Comprehension of product roadmap and synergy between product, technology and business plan

- All other related aspect of a Business Finance function like revenue assurance, profitability tracking, contract reviews, involvement in commercial negotiations, etc

- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral

- Excellent presentation skills

Good-to-Have :

- Experience in IT services industry

- Some pre-sales experience within product team to enable comprehension of business / sales team requirement on ground

- Ability to do short term domestic/ international travel as per business ask

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role :

- Be the Unit BFM / BFM team member for a product/platform entity within SGB Group

- Involvement in Business Plan and Strategic direction setting of the unit along with the unit head

- Work on the right Revenue recognition and contract construct for EULA and OEM license agreement, in conjunction

- Working with the unit to articulate financial governance process within the newly incubated unit in sync with Corporate policy, guidelines and expectation

- Ability to think out of the box as we are talking about dealing with newly created entities within where no set-defined rules do exist

Type Details of The Role (For Candidate Briefing) :

- Reporting To Which Role Group BFM Head - Strategic Business Finance (in case of Unit BFM) and to Unit BFM (in case of BFM team member)

- Size of the Team, if any Reporting to this Role Unit BFM - 1 to 2 people max

- On-site Opportunity None in this role but would expect ability to pick up different role within finance after a few years

- Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of The Role Being able to be part of the new line of business(es) within IT industry such as Neural Automation, IoT, digital related products/platforms business unit - which is the new focus area within IT industry.
