Business Development - Warehousing 3PL Contract Logistics

Profile Summary: To develop and manage the overall SITICS' Contract Logistics & Supply Chain Businesses for the Southern Region, with a focus on achieving the business plans as relates to Sales, Revenue, Customer Retention, Service Quality, Value Creation, Business Development and Profitability. Will also be responsible for overall health of the business with respect to market share, sales value & volume, financial objectives and ROI.

Job Description:

- Set up annual sales budgets creating / advancing / executing strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base.

- Formulating strategic plans for enhancing growth in business and profitability of the region and managing P& L

- Facilitating business and ensuring sustained growth, focusing on achieving /surpassing sales targets; expanding business reach and creating new sales / leads opportunities.

- Conceptualizing and implementing competent strategies with a view to penetrate new accounts and expand existing ones for a wide range of products / services.

- Driving business and ensuring sustainable growth, focusing on achieving /surpassing growth targets; expanding business reach and creating new opportunities.

- Developing new streams for revenue growth and maintaining relationships with customers to achieve repeat / referral business.

- Leading high quality business proposals & commercial negotiations. Engage new prospect, to respond to RFQ request, including working with other entities to leverage sales and marketing activities, and partner relationships.

- Solution design, preparing commercials, effective onboarding of new clients and drive the revenue growth of existing clients.

- Interacting directly with clients and redressing queries & issues to their optimum satisfaction and resolving crucial & long pending complaints; ensuring minimum TAT.

- Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements as relates to corporate governance, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.

- Responsible for assessing, clarifying and validating accounts on a regular basis.

- Develop, leading, mentor, train and motivate teams for better & effective performance.

- Develop performance metrics and monitor key parameters to increase the overall productivity of the BD team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

- Bachelor/PG Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant discipline. MBA will be a plus

- Minimum 5 to 10years in Business Development /Sales experience in 3PL & Contract Logistics Industry, including a minimum of 3 years' experience in Regional Sales / BD Manager Capacity.

- Strong analytical, planning and organizing skills, attention to details

- Adhere to policies and procedures and balance with customers' needs

- Good Communication Skills and Interpersonal Skills

- Good working knowledge of Project Financials.

- Must have good P & L understanding.

- Should be confident and comfortable to take up an Individual Contributors role with shared teams support.
