Business Development Role - Chemical Firm (1-3 yrs)

Key Responsibilities which they are focusing:

Business Development is a key role responsible for generating new leads and converting them to new customer accounts to drive future business growth. Key responsibilities include proactively identifying potential customers, engaging with them to generate business interest, determining requirements, preparation of proposals, and negotiation of contractual terms and handover of the program to respective Key Account Managers.

Strategic :

- Study the market scenario and recent market trends to generate new business development plans

- Drive proactive customer identification & engagement while presenting matching interest to the customer

- Develop a standard procedure for the preparation of RFP and sharing it with the Head Business Development

- Communicate with leadership about recent developments in the industry and take their inputs on business development plans

- Attend industry meets, such as association events, conferences, exhibitions, etc. and interact with external agencies and potential customers to build PI's brand

- Proactively collaborate with the Process Technology team to explore new technology trends and its matching interest with potential customers

Operational & Financial :

- Implement successful new customer acquisition plan via activities like

- Gathering market intelligence and understanding recent market trends to generate new business development plans


- Conduct internal and external analysis on potential client's business

- Generate requirements from new clients and create RFP on the basis of client requirements

- Follow up with clients on a regular basis on the progress of submittals made


- Communicate effectively with the client and respond to complex queries with regards to a contract obligation

- Create and maintain a database of potential clients, their businesses and their requirements
