Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the solar power sector (Utility-scale).
The candidate must have a deep understanding of the solar industry, government policies, and EPC project cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in ground-mounted solar power projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, government bodies, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Lead bid management for government and private sector tenders including PPA, EPC, and O&M contracts.
- Maintaining coordination with tender team to keep a check on available tenders.
- Checking Feasibility analysis from technical team while bidding a tender or filing Expression of interest for a private back-to-back job.
- Making Pitch presentations for government departments or private companies.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and project management teams for proposal development.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and potential markets.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Education/Experience. Qualifications and Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in business development, with at least 4 years in the solar EPC sector.
- Proven track record in project acquisition, tendering, and deal closure.
- Strong network within the solar industry including DISCOMs, developers, and government agencies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
- Open to travel & late hours working.
- Target oriented approach.
- Technically qualified to understand ground mounted, floating & rooftop solar.
- Team player with leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Ground mount solar systems, net metering, and CAPEX/OPEX models.
- Knowledge of commercial and technical feasibility assessments.
Work Timing:
Alternate Saturdays: 9:30 AM 1:30 PM (2nd & 4Th off)
