Business Development Manager - Omnichannel - Retail/eCommerce (7-10 yrs)
Job Purpose
BD Manager's role is in front-end sales and will be the face for potential clients. The individual should be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to identify and develop opportunities from multiple sources including prospect lists, discovery and individual research.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Generating Qualified opportunities by rigorously prospecting and researching the given region/ market.
- Striking and initiating conversations with key stakeholders within prospecting companies
- Getting creative in writing emails/ in mails and grabbing the attention of prospects
- Develop and Manage the lead pipeline by assessing, prioritizing and moving a large number of prospective clients simultaneously.
- Engage in all steps of the Sales cycle to ensure smooth pipeline progression to maximise results
- Deliver and exceed strategic goals and committed targets by responding with a quality pipeline focusing on White Space accounts.
- Achieve the targets consistently and ensure adequate margins are retained in the deals closed.
Skills & Experience Required
- 7 - 10 years of proven track record of success in sales/ business development in a target driven environment, ideally in a eCommerce or SAAS company.
- Strong prospecting skills with ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong Understanding of retail and Ecommerce market in India. Ability to identify potential issues being faced by retailers
- Fluent English and Hindi speaking skills
- Master's degree
