Business Development - International Brands - The Business Development Manager, Global Brands will be a key part of the development and growth of this new business unit. - He/she will be responsible for identifying and cultivating key relationships with global beauty brands and positioning the client as their partner of choice to launch in the Indian market. - He/she will own a sales pipeline and collaborate closely with business functions across the company to close strategic business partnerships. - A go-getter who likes operating with full autonomy, the right candidate will display the ability to be creative and decisive in sales partnerships. - Top-notch communication and negotiation skills are non-negotiables. What does the job entail : - Big Picture thinking: execute on the strategy to make Purplle the go to destination for International Beauty brands in India, competing with both horizontal and vertical players in the market. - Sherlocking: Identify, research, and develop business development opportunities with leading global brands that would be a fit for the Indian market - Sales and Strategy Ninja: Lead and co-lead pre-deal activities including identifying opportunity, sales strategy, negotiating terms, developing business cases, preparing presentations on the opportunity for executive leadership and coordinating with legal and other departments on closing of the opportunity - Firefighter: Key (and oftentimes primary) business contact for post-deal management including resolving contractual issues, managing and negotiating any amendments and preparing post-deal reporting to the executive team - Cop: Day to day partnering with Director and Vice President level leaders across the organization from deal creation through ongoing relationship. Period. - Ability to make top-notch pitch proposals with a combination of left and right brain perspective - Strong interpersonal and written communication skills - Displays independent decision making and accountability - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Network of existing connections across the global beauty industry would be a plus - Prior Business Development/sales roles outside India would be a plus
