Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst - FMCG (8-12 yrs)

JOB SUMMARY :

- The Business Analyst will lead in understanding, documenting, designing, developing and implementing business solutions based on business / function strategy in accordance with set standards of the organization.


- The position will lead in driving improvements in business processes through technology and non-technology led solutions, thereby driving continuous improvements.


- The position is also expected to drive integrated solutions and execute the entire cycle of project management through both traditional and agile project methodologies. The position will also drive efforts to stabilize the designed solution and transition them successfully to the support organization.

- The position is also responsible to drive vendor evaluation.


- The position is expected to drive necessary changes in the organization for successful adoption of solutions and drive build and sustenance of a strong super-user community beyond user trainings.


- This position will enable rationalization and enrichment of solutions through continuous insights of modern technologies. This role is expected to actively partner within IT with the BRM organization, solution delivery team, project managers, vendors and service delivery organization. On business side, this role is expected to work with stakeholders across the organization hierarchy with ability to articulate clearly for effective communications.


- The role requires good understanding of traditional and modern application stack and solution architecture, including a strong understanding of data and analytics to drive business value. Understanding of key business and process metrics including calculation of payback is important to drive value discussions with stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering: 40%

- Work with BRM with business case identification against a target capability enablement

- Understand, assess and document business requirements to address the need identified in the business case

- Document and evaluate process through relevant visualization of all key process parameters

- Facilitate discussions with relevant stakeholders and drive closure on agreed actions

- Drive optimum process re-design to ensure effectiveness of solution being considered

- Perform fit-gap assessments to translate into proposed process flow and functional design documents

- Define and drive alignment on project closure and success criteria with relevant stakeholders

- Solution Definition, Design and Development: 40%

- Drive solution definition and strawman design for evaluation of right solution choice

- Drive vendor evaluation for solution choices from techno-functional perspective

- Drive design, build and test process for agreed solution

- Evaluate process, data, people impact and technology impacts for the designed solution

- Ensuring project standards are met through application of governance controls

- Ensure design and integration to solution ecosystem

- Ensure adherence to set architecture, security, data standards

- Manage solution integrity based on agreed project methodology and solution design

- Periodic project reviews with internal and external team

- Deliver projects within the time line and budget

- Deliver projects within agreed parameters with optimum performance for business acceptance and closure

- Deliver proper training and handover of completed projects to support organization

- Drive use cases of delivered solution

- Drive compliance to internal controls and address any audit gaps

- Stakeholder and people management: 10%

- Build strong relationship with key stakeholders and business user

- Influence key stakeholders to drive right choices for the organization

- Lead as a key connect on the project(s) with all other IT teams to ensure alignment and holistic consideration for solution delivery

- Be a great team player and enable excellent delivery within team

- Key contact for the vendor(s) of your application(s)

- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:10%

- Drive continuous improvement in the organization through deep process analysis that may or may not need technology support

- Drive insights to improve effectiveness of IT and business processes

- Be curious to explore, learn and pilot use of new technologies for right business use

- Infuse learnings from other organizations, forums etc, to drive ideation and improvement in current process, systems and data

PROFILE DETAILS :

QUALIFICATION:

- Related Bachelor's / master's degree or Business Administration

- 8-12 years of related IT experience

- Strong functional skills, preferably ERP related

- Experience collaborating with different teams (local or global) to drive solution design, build and test

- Understanding and basic knowledge of solution architecture

- Experience in developing integrated solutions involving process, data, and technology

- Ability to drive change management in the organization in related areas

- Ability to drive business case development

- Strong conceptual, strategic thinking, problem solving, technical and analytical skills

- Leadership and interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation

- Ability to influence peers and leadership stakeholders

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Fair degree of project management, planning and organizational skills

- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
