Business Analyst

Location: BANGALORE

Experience: 7 - 9 years

Mandatory Skills:

1) Experience in PL/SQL, HTML and JAVA

2) Experience in JIRA, Aha, or Project Management software

3) Experience in SAFe agile environment

4) Experience in Git/GitHub or similar enterprise platforms

Responsibility:

- Mastering the functional and technical domains of vendor platforms (e.g., Majesco Distribution Management)

- Understanding client business requirements and translating them into detailed design components for development

- Documenting detailed design specifications in partnership with a vendor solution architects

- Based on bandwidth, executing test cases and validating test case results for functionality delivered by the vendor product team prior to code being elevated to client environments

- Understanding the features available in the vendor's base product and partnering with vendor solution architects to document development notes for engineers to configure client-specific features

- Facilitating 2x / week backlog grooming sessions with product and client delivery teams to refine user stories spanning both team's backlogs

Must have:

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment across global time zones

- understanding of the core components of distribution management in the insurance value chain (e.g., onboarding, producer management, compensation)

- 7+ years experience in PL/SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and updates, HTML and JAVA

- Project management skills with the ability to handle a large workload, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment, preferably SAFe agile experience.

- Experience with JIRA, Aha, or Project Management software to track, manage and resolve assigned tasks/tickets within sprint cycles

- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and communicate effectively

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering

- Experience with version control software (Git/GitHub or similar enterprise platforms) preferred

- Familiarity with API and ETL is a plus

- Understand data modeling, data flows, and data integrations at insurers

- Strong insurance background and willingness to specialize in select lines (Life, Group, P&C)

- Experience with web-based platforms

- Experience documenting detailed design specifications based on the business user requirements

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced knowledge of Excel, Project preferably
