Business Analyst - Data Governance - Financial Markets

Job Description

- The Financial Markets (FM) Data Management team is looking for strong, hands-on candidate to fill the role of Business Analyst. 

- The successful candidate will be part of the core team building and managing an in-house data dictionary application for the whole of SCB FM. The data dictionary is a centralized repository for all meta-data definitions and transformation mappings between system interfaces to provide transparency for governance and accountability over data used within FM.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the senior software developer includes:

- Work with stakeholders across business and technology to gather user requirements.

- Understand, document and communicate user requirements to development team in Bangalore.

- Understand user behaviour, interaction and journey with the application to design solutions and enhance user experience.

- Support testing and root cause analysis.

- Enforce best practices around agile project methodologies

Qualifications & Skills

Required experience, qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor or master degree in business studies, finance, computer science or information technology from a top tier university

- More than 5 years of Business Analysis experience within financial markets domain

- Understand SDLC and have experience in project/change delivery within FM technology or business operations is a must

- Strong problem solving and communication skills

- Knowledge and experience in following will be a plus

- Familiar with data quality management framework or data dictionary/catalogue

- Technical understanding of xml, fmpl, reference data and data models

- Familiar with agile methodologies for project delivery

- Self-motivated and able to work independently
