Job description for Business Analyst role for Data and Analytics Team

- The Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) Team is responsible for providing integrated planning and management solutions to support the successful execution of business objectives.

- This team will own all short term/ long term projects catered to business requirements. Some of the responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: response propensity models, market segmentation analysis, loss forecasting and risk scorecards etc., presenting analysis to different stakeholders, meeting with management, peers, and other departments to discuss impact and implementation.

The candidate will be expected to:

- Be a part of the BIU team and partner with different Business stakeholders to understand the need

- Ability to understand business requirements, scope out analysis, perform and transform it into actionable insights

- Perform Adhoc analytics as required to support different business needs

- Conduct exploratory data analysis, select and engineer features, train, tune, and evaluate candidate models, distill and present findings, and reference implementations

- Continuously review and improve forecast models to determine more accurate and efficient methods.

- Communicate data findings through engaging stories that are easy to understand is a must.

Tools: SAS is a must and good proficiency in R/Python skills is desirable.
