Business Analyst - Asset Management Firm

Looking for Business Analyst with an asset management organization, for Mumbai.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2-3 hands on experience working knowledge of IVP Polaris and Geneva (ie. Positions, Taxlot, Trial Balance, Cash Balance & Transactions)

- Experience in key modules: Pnl analytics, operations, risk, performance, Illiquid OMS, & Compliance

- Experience understanding RSLs and RDLs

- Relational database development in SQL server

- Bachelor / Masters in computer science or an Engineering discipline

- Experience in working with an Agile team and use of tools like JIRA/Confluence

- Basic understanding of data normalization patterns

Functional Competencies:

- Good understanding of hedge fund front/middle/back office processes

- Strong knowledge of various systems in the alternative asset management (ie. EDM, Security master, & Recon)

- SQL

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for development teams on delivering new capabilities via IVP Polaris

- Support ongoing initiatives to streamline and automate unique datasets

 - Help investigate breaks on core dataset ie. holdings, positions, trial balance, cash balance and transactions

 - Work with QA team members to ensure that regression test cases are maintained to support all releases, per the latest business requirements & use cases

 - Troubleshoot and resolve reporting related issues in close coordination with IT and business teams

 - Train users on self-service reporting and other new capabilities

 - Reconcile fund administrator Geneva logic vs polaris reporting logic for best user experience

 - Help manage system integrity by periodical account and permission clean up and coordinate clean up window with IT, Vendors and business teams.

 - Help maintain denorm database to ensure data integrity downstream
