British Council - Service Transition Manager - Finance Shared Services Migration (8-12 yrs)

- The Service transition manager is expected to effectively transition new services to British Council Finance Shared Services and provide support to the service delivery teams for such initiatives.

- He/she will be accountable for all Finance Shared Services Migration and responsible for delivering the Global Finance Migration Roadmap to the Shared Services. He/she will ensure all required transition activities are successfully executed to enable SSC to support the business at all agreed service levels.

- The role requires the individual to lead fact finding, data health & end to end scoping. This individual is responsible for successfully executing the transition which will primarily include preparation of transition and training plan, ensuring that detailed SOPs are developed and signed-off, operating metrics are aligned and approved, and processes are transitioned as per agreed SLAs. This individual is responsible to identify the key opportunities for standardization and improvements of the activities being transitioned. This position also has the important responsibility of working closely with internal and external stakeholders on resource requirement and onboarding of the team to support the activities/process at SSC Noida.

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:

- Strong project management skills and ability to independently lead transition projects with a focus on on-time completion with minimal post go-live issues and to ensure Project Management discipline

- Should be able to execute the transition keeping the Cost/Budget, Time and resources in line with the signed off transition plan

- Deliver agreed Service Transition Projects and Programmes in line with recognised best practice methodology (managing risk, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, reporting), where the successful implementation of service resource skills and processes are just as critical to project success as technology, compliance and mitigation of financial and delivery risk.

- Ensure that all areas of Finance Operations are ready for transition of new services/solutions

- Oversee the stabilisation period quality measures and ensure projects are not closed until these have been met

- Manage communications with all stakeholders to ensure an effective handover of new/changed Services into production/operations environment and the internal and external stakeholder user communities
