About Us : BC Examinations and English Services Pty Ltd (BCEESIPL) is an Indian commercial entity wholly owned by the British Council, UK. Governed by a Managing Director and Board, BCEESIPL provides a range of services to BC UK in the areas of Examinations and English. In 2018/19 BCEESIPL will deliver 700,000 examinations in English Language assessment and professional qualifications in 45 cities and 70 venues across India as well as providing B2C Digital Learning courses, corporate ELT training services and two major employability skills and assessment projects with State Governments in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. BCEESIPL employs 350 staff in 4 offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Title : Project Management (Education and Govt. Projects) Location : Hyderabad/ Bangalore/ Chennai (Flexible) Experience : 9-12 Years Responsibilities : The purpose of this post is to lead on the achievement of strategic and financial objectives and overall outcomes and outputs of a large-scale English project, implementing and delivering business/programme strategy and ensuring it meets the strategic objectives of the British Council. - To manage and deliver large scale project-based activity through a complex network of resources and partners and coordinating across SBUs. The post will require regular travel to Andhra Pradesh. - Candidate should have a strong track record of managing projects and achievements in operational and programme management. - Ensure project is managed and delivered to meet outcomes, outputs and objectives stated within the SBU strategy, programme and plans. Manage resources efficiently to deliver project from initiation through to closure, maintain communication plans, quality assurance plans, and resourcing plans in line with All-India standard tools and processes and procedures within agreed time frames. - Ensure project monitoring and evaluation is conducted in line with corporate M&E framework and recommendations are sought from academic and technical experts and include international best practice. Ensure appropriate data is collected, accurately collated and analyzed. Review quality of external and internal reports. - Support academic teams in ensuring that project meets defined outcomes using appropriate monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. - Implement and adapt team work plan(s) in the light of revised partner requirements, operational changes and local social/economic or political events in agreement with project board members. - Work with technical support team to ensure that digital aspects of the project is well supported and delivered in line with the contract agreement. - Ensure effective management of stakeholder / customer relationships using agreed mechanisms and in consultation with appropriate colleagues from English and other Strategic Business Units (SBUs). - Collaborate with existing state partners to sustain and/or develop strategic or commercial opportunities, including extensions to existing contracts/projects - Represent BCEESIPL English at high level meetings and events with external stakeholders. - In accordance with agreed SBU strategies, acts as a figurehead for the team in local cultural relations, commercial and collaborative activities, managing a range of relationships with external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the British Council and facilitate effective operational delivery - Develop, negotiate and produce contracts with partners, consultants, and vendors following procurement guidelines. - Ensure effective, compliant financial process as per standards set out. - Ensure accurate financial information including analysis of data from financial systems to provide business assurance and to support decision making. - Complete, review and update the English project financial plans as per planning cycle and within deadlines. - Maintain strong relationships with Government Partner Organisation (Consultants, Secretaries and government officials), Heads of educational institutions and teachers.
