British Council - Analytics Translator - Center Of Excellence (8-11 yrs)
Purpose of job:
To perform the essential functions for integrating analytics capabilities in the organisation by defining business problems that analytics can help solve, guide analytics teams in the creation of analytics driven solutions to these problems and embed solutions into business operations. To understand stakeholder needs and help envision what can be achieved by solving it through Analytics
Accountabilities
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities and define problem statements that could be solved through analytics while gaining an understanding of their operations and operating context
- Should have a strong background of business domain operations (HR, Finance, Customer Case, Retail, etc) and application of analytics in experienced domains
- Should quickly adapt/gain business context and roadmap Analytics solutions being incorporated into business for impact
- Should have good understanding of Analytics models and what modeling technics can be applied in which kind of data scenario.
- Guide teams to source data (structured and unstructured) from various internal and external systems
- Able to review the data insights and guide teams to refine / tune based on business requirement.
- Summarises and presents the findings/analysis/insights in a manner that is easy to understand by larger business community.
- Understand complex business scenarios and communicate the user's story from data to variety of stakeholders
- Makes recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements aligning with business requirements and best practices
- Comfortable working with numbers, project management skills and entrepreneurial spirit
Experience/Skills :
- Total experience of 8+ years and must have spent 3 years being hands-on development of analytical models and 3 years as a business translator
- Good background on AI, Machine Learning, R & Python
