Brigade REAP, India's #1Accelerator program (as announced by Start-up India) is looking for a high energy, passionate individual to join us to help execute the next phase of our mission - to be the Go-to PropTech accelerator Globally. You'll be responsible for managing day to day operations and the execution of the program from sourcing start-ups to managing them through the 18 weeks of acceleration and post-program stages. Essentially you will be managing the chaos of start-ups in-cohort & the 100+ entrepreneur alumni network that REAP has.

What will you do?

We are looking for a young lawyer who is passionate about working with Start-ups to support our accelerator and investment initiatives at Brigade REAP. You will be responsible for working with early-stage start-ups to get their legal documentation, compliance in place and then work on Investment's diligence and documentation. You will serve as the lead in-house counsel providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise during induction, investments or exits of start-ups, and handling inquiries that may arise during the course of the business.

Primary duties in addition to structuring, drafting, and negotiating legal and commercial transactions will also include helping Start-ups navigate and resolve any legal issues as they structure their business. You will be working on a wide range of issues - negotiations on Term sheets and SHA's for the accelerator as well investments, legal due diligence for funding, documentation and compliance of regulatory requirements as per the laws of the country, identify legal gaps before on-boarding a start-up and come with solutions to mitigate any risks that may arise for the accelerator or for investments, Also structure, negotiate and draft general business transactions - NDA, Partnership agreements, investment agreements etc. and at times share preliminary advise to start-ups on a need basis.

What we are looking for?

Qualification: A law degree from a leading law school.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification legal experience in a transactional role, preferably with some portion of that experience in hands-on technology and commercial transactions for fund raise or exits from a reputed law firm would be desirable.

Skill sets:

- Ideal candidate will be one who has worked in a Law firm dealing with the start-up ecosystem or in a Venture capital firm specifically in the legal due-diligence area.

- Written and verbal communication skills in English and a local language as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization

- Team player and consensus builder with great people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients.

- A candidate who thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution, responding openly and flexibly to change.

- Business acumen combined with ability to identify optimal solutions, including novel, creative and innovative solutions to complex issues.
