Job Description : Manager - Investments

Organization: Brigade REAP: 

Brigade REAP launched in 2016, is Asia's first PropTech Accelerator. We are a part of Brigade Group which is listed real estate company based out of Bangalore. Brigade REAP has been actively working with startups in the PropTech sector and till date has mentored more than 50+ startups in the space and invested in 3 startups.

Brigade REAP has recently launched a syndicate fund PropTech@REAP, with an aim to invest in early- stage startups both from within REAP portfolio and outside. Brigade REAP leads these investments alongside other angel Investors and funds.

We are looking for Manager - Investments to join our team who will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the fund and also for investments and exits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing of startups: A key aspect of the role would be to source promising PropTech startups for the fund. This would involve partnering with various institutions, incubators, angel investors and networks etc. and keeping yourself abreast with the latest developments in the PropTech sector through news and other sources. You will also closely work with the REAP team to identify startups from within the accelerator cohort to build a strong pipeline of startups for investments through the fund.

2. Shortlisting and due diligence: You will be responsible for shortlisting startups and then build a case for the REAP investment committee to invest in these startups. This will be done by exhaustive due diligence and preparation of detailed insightful investment memos

3. Onboarding Investors: PropTech@REAP is a syndicate fund and as a result we- re always looking to identify and engage with angel investors. Bringing new Angel Investors to the fund and managing relationships of existing investors would be an important aspect of the role.

4. Investment readiness of startups: You will need to work with entrepreneurs and help startups in the REAP cohort to become investment ready by working on their business models, investment decks and pitch.

5. Exit Opportunities: You will collaborate with the internal team on identifying potential exit opportunities (from existing accelerator portfolio and PropTech@REAP) for REAP. This would involve building a good VC/OEM network and getting REAP startups investment ready for next round of funding. This will also entail working with the startups to identify their growth levers and challenges, work on their business model, investments decks and pitches.

6. Operations: You will drive all the operational aspects of the fund, ranging from documentation to closing investments. You will be responsible for monthly/ quarterly investor updates. You will also be looking at closing documentation like transaction agreements, terms sheets and SHAs with all the startups joining the accelerator.

Ideal Candidate :

Please ONLY apply if you have worked with an angel network/a VC fund and have hands on experience in early-stage investments. Entrepreneurial experience will be a definite plus. We are a high energy & vibrant team and are looking for someone who enjoys multitasking and learning on the go. You should have good oral and written communication skills. CTC will include a carry component.
