With the help of our pool of experienced professionals with diverse skill sets, we have executed transactions over USD 15bn for more than 100 corporate clients with deal size varying from USD 20mn to USD 2.5bn, across a broad range of industry sectors.

We are now in the process of setting up our asset management business by launching a global third-party institutional capital fund to directly invest in special situations assets.

Role Summary:

Vice President, reports to the Chairman/Founder directly. He/She will have a unique opportunity to be entrepreneurial and fully empowered as an investor backed with capital. The formal task is to be a critical member of the fund platform and contribute to build overall investment strategy in light of the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code in the special situations space. He/she will lead deal teams in making and managing long-term, direct debt and equity investments. The role is located in the head office in BKC, Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sourcing and preliminary screening transactions by leading conversations with intermediaries/promoters.

- Conducting industry research which may involve both primary and secondary market analysis.

- Completing due diligence including financial analysis and modeling, business and commercial evaluation, credit risk assessment and equity valuation to arrive at recommendations and facilitate investment decisions.

- Preparing detailed high quality presentations/information memorandums to present to Investment Committee.

- Leading transaction execution including advice on structuring, legal documentation drafting and negotiations.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of investment banking/private equity or corporate industry experience demonstrating core 'buy side' investment evaluative mindset.

- MBA or CFA or CA qualification.

- Self-starter, entrepreneurial, ability to explore, originate and develop opportunities, and ultimately drive outcomes.
