Brand Manager Job Purpose : Expert Brand Stewardship : Develops, delivers and/or manages a differentiated positioning for his/her brands with Experts to drive long-term brand growth and equity strength a. Brand Positioning Development: Develops brand positioning that is based on a clear understanding of the role this brand will play in the market b. Brand Equity Management: Develops systems and processes to ensure consistent Expert equity development and drive significant Expert equity gains over time c. Brand Architecture: Builds brand architecture for the future: Develops a 5-year brand architecture roadmap that anticipates changing practice trends amongst Expert/ Patient Expert Insight : Creates and applies compelling category & expert insights to meet / exceed needs and aspirations every time and drive brand and equity growth a. Understand Expert Insight to shape the future of categories b. Competitor & Category Understanding : Anticipates and forecasts future strategies of leading competitors and key customers and incorporates into brand/business strategies and plans - Expert Connections: Manage relationships with KOLs and drive their behaviour towards practices that are useful for the patient community. Uses scientific evidence and insight to drive recommendation by Experts and external advocates to drive brand differentiation and growth - Strategy and Planning: Develops strategies and plans based on deep understanding of Growth Priorities to drive brand growth with Experts - Innovation : Develops and delivers commercially successful new innovations with Experts, that enhance existing brands/categories or create new ones - Commercial Decision Making (Expert Marketing P&L): Makes good commercial decisions to maximise profitability whilst maintaining brand growth and equity strength with Experts Key Responsibilities : - Manages local activation of the expert endorsement strategy for the category - Develops, analyses and communicates local expert market knowledge and insights - Develops and executes the expert endorsement marketing component of the 5-year category strategy - Monitors productivity and effectiveness KPIs on monthly basis; initiates corrective actions where necessary - Monitors competitive activity and raises competitive issues to team in timely fashion - Keeps a track on the agreed metrics for the category - Analyses data from multiple data points to ensure dipsticks, audits, sales and research - Monitors activity progress on quarterly basis; initiates corrective action where necessary - Manages local expert marketing and sales capabilities - Trains, develops, coaches and engages the Expert marketing and sales team - Coordinates regulatory, legal and (local) claims development and approvals - Drives Expert Marketing Activities - Establishes effective relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Associations, Academic Institutions and Consumer Review organizations - Drives brand visibility and awareness activities - Designs and develops marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and awareness resulting in greater brand equity - Develops activities that effectively drive education of Expert endorsers and/or evoke strong consumer call to action following Expert recommendation - Cross-functional alignment - Understands the matrixed ways-of-working with Category teams and Market team - Manages local marketing budget for the category in accordance with the India commercial marketing strategy. - Partners with cross-functional teams and Brand teams to ensure alignment on all aspects of the brands
