This role entails managing the cosmetics category and looking after all brand management activities and operations for a very exciting launch planned at well funded startup. The launch is planned for later this year in a very fierce category in India. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the category & business via in-depth consumer & category insights, digital & e-commerce landscape & retail understanding. - Assist marketing team to develop category strategy and portfolio/range plan based on in depth understanding of personal care segment. - Develop and execute the plans in-line with marketing strategy to hit category growth, funnel metrics and P&L targets (top-line and bottom-line) - Manage the category budget and annual planning process (complete ownership) - Develop communication strategy and lead to execute media plan (primarily digital media), brief to creative/messaging, brief/buy media, and support creative production & adaptations - Drive the execution of the BTL activities as per the agreed plan and provide recommendations as required for the achievement of stated target Marketing. - Briefing Design Team / external agencies on product packaging design. - Competition benchmarking forecasting and working with relevant team members to ensure month on month stock availability Competencies: - Past FMCG experience / Strong experience in 'category creation' and scale-up will be preferred - Strong conceptual knowledge of FMCG best practices - Entrepreneurial, be unafraid to try new things, able to deal with ambiguity, and willing to take risks - Strong ability in project management, prioritize while multitasking a number of high-priority assignments, excellent at cross functional schedule management and strong follow-through Qualification & Desired Profile : - MBA from a premier B-school is preferred - 4-6 years' experience in a marketing led company (FMCG/Consumer Technology) - Experience with Digital Marketing / eCRM / e-commerce will be preferred - Experience & interest within the Beauty / Personal Care / Men's Grooming sector
