Job Description

Key responsibilities include:-

- Supporting India country counsel on research, documentation and legal analysis across all Indian entities

- Providing sound, pragmatic legal advice under the supervision of India country counsel and the global legal team

- Liaising with internal and external counsel on advisory and contentious matters

- Acting as point of contact for the businesses on legal issues and escalating them as needed

- Being proficient with Software Technology of Parks India Regulations, Department of Telecommunications' Regulations and general contract laws

- Reviewing and negotiating technology and non-technology-related contracts (e.g. service level agreements, outsourcing, general procurement and consultancy contracts, etc.)

- Researching changes to applicable laws and informing the Legal team and internal clients

- Identifying weaknesses in policies, practices and internal controls and providing solutions

- Escalating regulatory, policy or contractual breaches

- Managing projects and meeting timelines

- Maintaining legal reports and trackers

Experience:

- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, especially in the outsourcing space

- Prior experience in handling investigations and disputes will be a plus.

Qualifications:

- Possess an Indian law degree and have at least 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience with a reputed law firm in India or in an in-house role
