About this Position :

As the Director of Quality Assurance you are responsible for leading and managing geographically distributed group of QA analysts, software test engineers and automation engineers in an innovative and dynamic technology environment. Working together with our business and technology teams, the goal is to develop world class products that achieve overall business success while maintaining quality standards. You will develop and implement best practices throughout the product life cycle for delivering quality software products, automation capabilities and monitoring features.

Essential Duties : 


 Quality Assurance :


- Develop and implement a QA strategy inclusive of people, process and technology that will drive higher quality and efficiency, while establishing a human resource model that will enable the organization to flex as required

- Lead the QA and Development Operation teams to drive successful validation and deployment of all products while contributing to the product strategy and the overall product roadmap

- Foster a high degree of collaboration between the Software Development, QA and Development Operation teams

- Architect and maintain an automated continuous testing framework that enables high quality deliverables

- Manages the team in the design, development, documentation and installation of product validation systems, tests, processes and procedures to validate the product, confirming or refuting its ability to meet specified requirements and meet other prescribed standards

- Create unit, component, acceptance, integration, load, security, scalability, usability and platform tests and oversee execution by the appropriate QA resources

- Ensure QA activities are tracked and executed throughout the change control process from new development implementation to release management to certify compliance to all internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), and external standards as applicable

- Confirm tests are executed within the automated continuous testing framework wherever feasible

- Writes and approves validation plans to support the activities of software development

- Confirm all product defects are logged, tracked and managed within the project deployment

- Allocates project assignments within the product validation function to best utilize resources and meet project objectives

- Evaluates progress and results regarding team activities and goal attainment

- Manages personnel activities of staff

- Maintain skills in product validation and software test engineering field by attending training, seminars, or other technical-related conferences; interfacing with peers; or reading trade periodicals, or journals

- Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Duties :


 Development Operations :

- Define and implement a deployment strategy and procedures that enable continuous implementation of product features and releases maximizing appropriate automation tools and techniques.

- Define and include Development Operations procedures into the Development Lifecycle maximizing the effectiveness of software engineering, QA and operations implementation tasks.

- Align development, code validation and deployment requirements in the product development techniques.

- Define and maintain effective monitoring and alerting working with IT Operations to maximize levels of support and escalation procedures for service level agreements (internal and partners).

- Maintain skills in continuous development integration and build procedures.

- Extensive written and oral communication skills

- Good understanding of the US Financial Industry
