About Business line/Function:

RISK is a global and independent integrated Function acting as a second line of defense. RISK relies on selective approach as prescribed in the Group procedures, this includes quality of the analysis submitted, different risk scenarios and quantification. The assessment of the Operational Risk Framework relies on RISK ORM procedures & methodologies deployed. At ISPL, Risk Management activities are divided across two pillars - ISPL Platform Risk Management and ISPL RISK Hub supporting global RISK streams playing an active role in the Group RISK Transformation strategy. The RISK hub comprises of multiple RISK streams which include Operational Risk Management, Group Data Protection Office, Group RISK ORM ICT CoE, RISK IT, RISK MFI and Transversal Risk teams. We continue to grow new capabilities in RISK Quants across RISK SIGMA and RISK MFI Valuation Methodologies

Job Title: Chief Risk Officer - ISPL Date: Department: RISK

Reports to: Chief Risk Officer - India

Position Purpose

As CRO ISPL:

- Directly oversee the RISK ISPL platform, covering both the risks relating to ISPL itself as well as nearshoring / offshoring activities of RISK streams.

- Drive the overall RISK transformation strategy in ISPL and work closely with local, regional and central teams

- Be a single point of contact for risk matters to ISPL General Management, other ISPL Functions (Finance, HR, IT, admin.), RISK CTOO and RISK APAC Management (CRO APAC and CRO India)

- Leading the transformation and development plans for the Risk Hub in India

- Contribute to the promotion of strong risk culture and risk governance in ISPL

The Head of RISK Hub reports functionally to the RISK CTOO and hierarchically to the Territory CRO.

The Head of RISK Hub will also be part of the network of RISK ORM, in the context of its role regarding the supervision of the operational risks of BNPP Hubs operating in the Territory where the RISK Hub is located.

Responsibilities:

I. Management of the RISK Hub:

The elements listed next constitute the basis of the delegations of authority given by RISK to the Head of RISK Hub related to the management and animation of the RISK Hub:

1) Contribution to the animation of the RISK Hub network and strategy definition:

- Contribute to the development of RISK Hubs' value proposition and global organization and their strategy definition in coordination with RISK CTOO (and taking into account Territory orientations as relevant),

- Contribute to the animation and governance of the RISK Hubs' network,

- Contribute to the best practices sharing process within the RISK Hubs' network,

2) Management of the RISK Hub:

- Implement the strategy defined for the RISK Hub,

- Manage the provision of services of the RISK Hub in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs,

- Follow up RISK Hub's activities with a consolidated view in a dashboard (FTE, KPIs, budget.),

- Set relevant governance to animate the RISK Hub and secure coordination with Group and regional/local partners,

- Secure operational capability of the RISK Hub liaising with local support Functions,

- Ensure an adequate implementation of the permanent control framework in the RISK Hub, including business continuity related elements, and manage adequately the operational risk profile of the RISK Hub activities,

- Manage resources and capacity of the RISK Hub so that any changes are dealt with in order to ensure continuous delivery of services,

- Set up continuous improvement process and resources optimization within the RISK Hub and potentially at Territory level (with other Hubs operating in the Territory or with other local activities). The transformation initiatives proposed are shared and validated with global managers before implementation,

- Ensure that all costs are in line with budget, participate and support budget preparation.

- Participates to the relevant governance of the Territory, for example the relative to the BNP Paribas platform located in the country.

II. People development:

- Ensure solid middle management layer with adequate competencies level and succession planning,

- Ensure strong staff engagement thanks to action plans based on pulse results

- Promote and support BNPP values & Code of Conduct,

- Promote an open and clear communication on RISK context and challenges; explain the strategy to the teams to understand priorities

- Ensure that the independence of the function regarding the management of our human resources is understood and respected

- Simplify and lighten the professional life notably in avoiding systematic attendance to all meetings

- Broadcast and explain objectives and organization of the RISK Hub to foster sense of belonging

- Develop and support teams of the RISK Hub with recruitment, appraisals, objectives, development, and career path in coordination with RISK and Local Human Resources departments,

- Contribute to RISK strategic projects that impact activities and people topics

III. Supervision of the operational risks of BNPP Hubs operating in the Territory where the RISK Hub is located:

The elements listed next constitute the main mission about the operational risk supervision given by RISK to each Head of RISK Hub:

- Consolidate and provide a holistic view of the operational risk profiles of all BNPP Hubs operating in the Territory in coordination with Territory CRO,

- Contribute to the Territory and other local ICCs by ensuring the exhaustiveness and relevancy of information regarding the operational risks of BNPP's platform activities and following-up actions decided in relation to this topic,

- Monitor major incidents occurring across the BNPP's platform activities,

- Ensure internal control awareness across BNPP Hubs,

- Contribute to the interactions with internal audit, regulators as well as supervisors regarding operational risk topics of the BNPP Hubs operating in the Territory.

For the execution of its mandate, the Head of RISK Hub will coordinate with LoD1 and LoD2 teams, located inside and/or outside of the Territory.

Permanent Control Aspects:

For all managers:

- Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.

- Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan

- Responsible for ensuring team members to comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.

- Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the Incident Management System

- Responsible for ensuring job descriptions are written, distributed and updated

- Ensure audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Experience level: 10 years of experience in risk management and/or 10 years of experience in nearshoring hubs
