Job Role: Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role and involves analyzing financial data, developing strategies for financial growth, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role also involves you to collaborate with other departments to drive financial performance and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and manage financial planning and budgeting processes.

- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

- Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.

2. Accounting Management:

- Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, provisions, accrued revenue, and general ledger.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

3. Financial Reporting:

- Preparing monthly MIS with schedules of all the expenses and balance sheet items.

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to senior management and stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

- Annual Accounts preparation, handling statutory, tax, internal audits, transfer pricing, forex etc.

- Coordinate with external auditors and responsible for the audit documentation and closure.

4. Budget Management:

- Develop and monitor budgets for various departments and projects.

- Analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Support departmental managers with budget-related queries and planning.

5. Compliance & Filings:

- Ensure statutory compliances in respect of income tax, withholding taxes, secretarial & company law matters, GST, RBI etc.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, RBI, regulations and guidelines.

- Prepare and file GST and TDS returns accurately and on time.

- Maintain and update GST and TDS records and documentation.

- Monitor changes in GST and TDS laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Handle GST, statutory and any other audits and resolve related issues

6. TDS Compliance & Filing:

- Ensure compliance with TDS regulations and guidelines.

- Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS on payments as per applicable laws.

- Prepare and file TDS returns accurately and on time.

- Maintain and update TDS records and documentation.

- Handle TDS audits and resolve related queries or discrepancies.

7. Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.

- Responsible for timely invoicing to clients Liaisoning with clients for timely collections

Forecast cash requirements and make recommendations for financing or investments.

8. Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and internal controls.

- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and industry best practices.

9. Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support.

- Oversee staff performance, conduct evaluations, and implement training programs.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

- Education: CA Qualified

- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in finance and accounting

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in Financial ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving.

- Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make sound recommendations.
