Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters - Head - Supply Chain - IIT/NIT

Our team at Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters is expanding and we are looking for an experienced professional as the Head of Supply Chain. This role is responsible for managing and leading the entire supply chain team, focusing on scaling back-end operations in a cost efficient manner. As the head of the department, you will play a critical role in creating and developing a high-performance, data-driven culture where the back-end operations integrate seamlessly with customer facing departments to deliver high-quality products, in a consistent, timely manner.

Specific Responsibilities -

- Scale supply chain operations to support overall company growth. Identify and on-board people, facilities and technologies necessary to scale in a cost efficient manner.

- Create and monitor departmental KPIs to balance cost, availability and scale of all required materials. Analyze data and develop process-based solutions to ensure minimal inventory holding periods with no stock outs.

- Identify cost saving opportunities and lead negotiations with key vendors and stakeholders.

- Create and execute long-term vision of continuous process improvement and automation.

- Identify and implement efficiency driving technology and process interventions.

- Collate, monitor and analyze departmental performance. Identify and drive areas for improvement and prepare periodic reports for senior management.

- Champion all compliance and safety initiatives and identify areas of improvement and work with stakeholders to improve safety culture.

- Recruit, manage and lead team members, drive a culture of performance and accountability.

Desired Qualifications

- MBA from a premier institution or B.Tech from IITs or NITs.

- Relevant knowledge and experience in large scale operations.

- Proven experience in planning, problem solving, innovation, stakeholder management & data analysis.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver process improvement and cost optimization.

- Team player with excellent people management skills.
