With a customer base of 4.5 million customers and 30,000 merchants, the company generates $3Bn in annual payments globally - The successful candidate will head the modelling function for Zip Co. for the Australian portfolio. There will be 3 data scientists reporting to this individual and the responsibility will include model development, model performance tracking, model maintenance and model governance across all the models throughout the customer lifecycle (new accounts, customer management and collections) Roles & Responsibilities : - Lead building of advanced Data Science/Machine Learning models to create significant business impact - Responsible for developing all aspects of data mining, predictive analytic, solution development - In depth knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms for NLP, Forecasting, Prediction and Analytics - Strong understanding in areas of traditional statistical analysis, Bayesian modeling, traditional ML, Deep Learning, RL and optimization - Rich experience in at least one production ready deployment of Machine Learning algorithms is a plus. Requirements : - Degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering from a premier institution - Minimum 5 years experience of which at least 2 years in BFSI sector working on model development and maintenance for consumer or SME products - Ability to work with data - expertise and comfort with extracting, transforming, and deriving insights from data. - Good SQL skill is mandatory. Working knowledge of Python is desirable. - Good understanding of statistics and probabilistic methods - Experience in working with the credit bureau data
