The Role is with Zip Co Our client Zip Co for whom we are hiring extensively - Zip Co, a major global player in the consumer - buy now pay later segment with HQ in Sydney, Australia. Zip Co. entered the US market in 2020 through acquisition of QuadPay Position: Manager Data Science (IC) Roles & Responsibilities: - Build (develop/test/validate) statistical/ML models, optimization solutions, inference techniques for risk management, marketing and customer acquisition/management to create significant business impact. - Extract and explore data, validate data integrity, perform ad hoc analysis, evaluate new data sources to improve models. - Maintain robust documentation of approach and techniques use -including objectives, assumptions, performance, weaknesses and limitations. - Be ready to adapt to new tools/libraries/technologies/platforms. - Actively partner with different development groups inside of the organization. - Further develop expertise in statistical learning through self-study, project exposure and guidance of senior team members. - Work with Agile Scrum frameworks following best practices to drive Epic/Feature/Story creation to drive solution design and development Qualifications : - Degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering from a premier institution - Minimum 6 years of experience with 2 years of experience in BFSI. - Strong knowledge of SQL and at least one open-source statistical programming language (R, Python). - Ability to work efficiently at scale and derive insights from large data sets. - Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and testing, and model development; rich experience in at least one production ready deployment of Machine Learning algorithms. - Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, hypothesis testing, machine learning, optimization, and analytics - Self-driven with an aptitude for independent research & problem solving - Industry experience in risk management, payments, financial services & fraud management Bonus Qualifications : - In depth knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms for NLP - Experience in leading a team as a manager - Experience using Azure platform - Experience using PySpark/Scala for big data manipulation and processing - Industry experience in risk management, payments, financial services & fraud management
