Key Objectives of the role

- Focus on creating business impact by developing strategies for the top packaging categories we focus on and by long term transition planning for other categories

- Manage positive partner relations at the highest levels - ensure leadership alignment for the long term

- Achieve Bizongo's objective of becoming India's largest Multi-Category Packaging Platform by gaining expertise in the categories and engaging with partners accordingly

- Drive cost efficiency through various initiatives

- Help provide superior customer service by resolution of recurring service issues

- Work as a team player, upholding company values and contributing to a positive working environment

This role is for you if you have a strong understanding of category management, strategic procurement, planning or consulting (Previous experience in packaging products shall be an added advantage). You are a quick learner with strong listening, negotiating and analytical skills, and can develop business strategies post analyzing internal and external impact. You should also have a strong understanding of business principles and support internal teams to solve complex problems accordingly.

As a Specialist/Consultant, Partner Growth a typical month will include:

Partner Identification & Engagement

- Building, utilising and demonstrating subject matter expertise in respective category - market structure, opportunities, players, impact of regulatory environment, Bizongo mission/objectives, etc

- Partner footprinting - identification for short term & long term exploration

- Identification of partners in various buckets: strategic engagements, tactical interventions, spot buying

- Evaluating partners in line with Bizongo's Partner Assessment Framework - Manufacturing capability, Financial capability, Quality Management, Leadership alignment, Industry feedback and Competitiveness index

- Onboarding decisions for new partners basis assessments and engagement buckets

- Leading partner engagements and negotiations in line with opportunities and strategy. Grow wallet shares and review periodically with strategic partners

- Building matrix of cost models for subcategories, in complete alignment with partners

- Effectively contracting with partners to support supply assurance, risk management, quality, service, cost and continuous improvement

- Leading periodic reviews with partners based on internal evaluation and objective feedback - continuously revisit engagement decisions basis these reviews

Driving Business Success

- Working closely with internal Business Development (BD) teams to generate short & long term GMV opportunities, meet & exceed GM objectives for new leads and improvement in GM & GMV

- Driving projects to improve GM of regular materials with comprehensive understanding & alignment of partner cost structures

- Identifying and leverage opportunities for partner financing directly by Bizongo or through strategic tie-ups led by Corporate Finance

- Identifying and leveraging opportunities of strategic engagement with raw material manufacturers/ traders positively impacting partners ability to source, assurance of supplies, working capital &/or cost

- Identifying any import opportunities that can help cost or other objectives

- Driving opportunities to improve Partner DPO (days payable outstanding)

Internal Stakeholder Engagement

- Acting as custodian of product features relevant to be used by Partner Growth, Partner Support and Partners. Work jointly with respective teams and support Product/ Engineering to manage pipeline of Tech change projects

- Supporting Partner Support teams with escalation of recurring service/ OTIF issues
