SUMMARY OF THE POSITION : The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire gamut of HR & Admin functions for the Brewery which would include manpower planning, compliances, budgets etc. The position would also have strong emphasis on building relations with the Union to ensure that Brewery operates smoothly. He/She would also serve as the liaison between management and employees by handling employee related issues and ensuring resolution for the same. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Drive and execute the Manpower planning for the Brewery based on the projected volumes & requirements. This would include manpower forecasting as well as manpower rationalization (if required), secondary manpower planning etc. - Manpower planning for fixed and contractual labor which is in line with the production plan - Preparing and managing budgets for the department including manpower and support services - Ensuring amenable Union - Management relation exists to ensure that Brewery operates smoothly & no man-days are lost due to industrial unrest - Responsible for negotiating with the unions (for Wage Agreements/Incentive etc.) as & when required & proceed on the terms after discussions. - Ensure that all the impending issues are discussed with the union & its representatives and help them understand the managements viewpoints - Proactively identify and resolves employee grievances in a fair and consistent manner to operate in an effective and efficient environment - Ensuring statutory compliance to Labor laws and liaison with various statutory bodies like ALCs office, Factory Inspectors Office that affect the day to day functioning of the unit. - Interactions with the departmental heads regarding the manpower related issues that include discipline, absenteeism, OT etc. - Ensuring that all the employees are getting all the benefits of the workers Benefit Schemes and facilities are at optimum levels of basic budgets - Facilitate communication through management of Notice Boards in departments/ other conspicuous places - Ensuring fixed and variable budgets are maintained and drive efficiency and are within the guidelines - Work with the Talent management team to ensure appropriate training programs are conducted for all levels at the plant - Responsible for driving Employee Health and Safety measures at the plant - Overseeing the entire gamut of employee engagement initiatives and providing strategic support as and when required - Undertake initiatives to actively engage with employees and assist in resolving their grievances to ensure superior employee experience QUALIFICATION AND SKILL SET : - Education -MBA HR - Strong people management skills - Knowledge of contractual labor management - Knowledge of Labor laws
