About the position

We are looking for an experienced IT Director to oversee India regional IT functions. The role reports to the Global BioUrja CTO. You will be in charge of a team of IT developers and manage the company's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems. The IT Director role is to plan, organize, and manage people, process and technology to effectively and efficiently deliver innovative solutions in a 24x7 energy trading operations supporting India and North America.

We are seeking a candidate to immediately deliver results leveraging relevant industry and technical experiences. The perfect candidate will demonstrate 10 years of experience leading application and development teams for major gas and power energy trading companies.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Director

- Lead the execution of application services technology strategy, build and manage the application services team, anticipate and react to major technology changes, and establish technical standards

- Build partnering relationships with the business and key vendors, and identify opportunities to expand and improve current services.

- Manages operational applications lifecycle of all projects.

- Provides leadership and motivates operations team to achieve high uptime success

- Leverage industry standard technologies, principles, best practices and processes to deliver innovative, scalable solutions

- Leverage agile methodologies to rapidly deliver incremental solutions

- Leverage human and technical assets to deliver optimal results

- Demonstrate continuous improvement: process, people and technology.

- Build, motivate and mentor teams

- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior.

- Inspire creativity and innovation.

- Develop a cross training and rotational program.

- Codify standards and processes on the intranet.

- Continuously review and optimize resource task assignment and status to assure project success.

- Assure smooth transition of solutions to the application support team

- Architect real-time, high risk systems for high availability

The Successful Candidate will demonstrate

- Previous experience in data warehousing and datamarts, enterprise data management, data quality, big data, data supply chain, ETL process.

- Operational experience with the Microsoft stack (Windows, SQL Server) including Microsoft Azure.

- Technical expert in delivering custom solutions leveraging Microsoft tool and technologies. Demonstrated hands on experience required.

- Demonstrated - hands-on- coding and architecture skills. Credibility with coders dependent on the ability to lead by example and the ability to provide direct code guidance.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly

- Ten years of upper level management in software development with extensive knowledge of software development methodologies including development life cycles, requirements, research and definition, functional specification and design documentation, project planning and software test planning.

- Skilled in resource allocation, optimization and portfolio/project management leveraging Microsoft's Suite of Project Management Tools.

- Has significant career experience at all levels of software development including hands on development, architecture and project management.

- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences and has the ability to achieve results through influence and persuasion. Must demonstrate ability to create and present cohesive, innovative strategic plan.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Demonstrated leadership skills: Communication, collaboration, teamwork, inspiring creativity and productivity in a matrix environment

It is also nice-to-have the below experience and expertise

- Trade capture, scheduling, risk, credit, MTM valuation, settlements, ISO/Pipeline processes/integration, structuring tools

- Experience with high-transaction volume, 24 x 7 environments.

- Relentless passion for rapidly delivering high quality products and the drive to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction

- Ability to analyze and understand complex workflows and processes, and develop innovative approaches to streamlining and automating them.

- Demonstrated ability to rapidly and methodically deliver innovative solutions, on-time and within budget

- Expert knowledge of enterprise software architecture, enterprise application integration and modern development technologies

- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations and software contract management

- Demonstrated delivery of innovation in fast paced 24x7 energy trading company
