Strategic Business Partner, HR

Reporting to: Head - HRBP

- The Strategic Business Partner, HR will collaborate with the business and functional leaders and HR team members to develop Talent strategies and approaches to attract, develop, enable, engage, and retain talent in the business. The candidate should have a mix of strong business acumen, organization development, and human resources expertise coupled with consulting skills required to aid in guidance and development of human resources functions within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership role:

- In this position, S/he will be responsible for evaluating the performance of several Support and Corporate team members, enabling, and encouraging performance improvement where possible. S/He maintains a full perspective of the business at all times, placing emphasis on employee relations, policies, and people management procedures in application across the business. In this position the incumbent will partner with other HR leadership in the deliberation and establishment of both short and long-term business and functional strategies

Strategy:

- Play a leading strategic role while taking initiative to develop and drive people management strategies that promote an environment where all employees feel valued and respected

Support:

- Serve as a coach and consultant to the respective business leadership team and managers as well as other employees on key organizational and management matters. S/he will coach the business leaders on HR policies and processes, inclusive of talent planning, development, and performance management in order to promote a culture of continuous growth and development in the business

Collaboration:

- The role of the Strategic Business Partner, HR is also a highly collaborative one where s/he collaborates with other HR colleagues and leadership in developing and executing a lifecycle approach to people management focused on forecasting, staffing, development, on-boarding, performance management, retention, succession planning, talent movement, and leveraging workforce insights and analytics

Analytics:

- Play a major analytical role in leveraging workforce insights and analytics in order to focus the business's leaders on relevant people management issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions. Conduct research and data analytics that identify talent gaps, assesses organizational performance, and proposes solutions that are in support of the business and that are in promotion of ongoing talent, development plans, and succession

Candidate's Profile

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or any other related field.

- 8+ years of work experience working preferably as a HR Business Partner. The candidate will have proven experience in organization design and development, talent management and engagement, Talent strategy.

- A suitable candidate will also demonstrate successful experience building awareness on key organizational issues and presenting a relevant solution, guide busienss leaders, management, and stakeholders through a collaborative and shared decision-making process.

- Communication Skills: Communication skills, both in verbal and written form are a must have for this position.

- Analytical skills: The candidate must also be capable of leveraging HR metrics, drawing insights from plain data and information, which will enable informed decision making, management strategy formulation, and policy formulation.

- Interpersonal skills: A candidate for this position must be employee-oriented, helpful, service-oriented, flexible, highly organized and demonstrate strong work ethics.

- Leadership and people skills: The HR Business Partner has to possess exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to move a group with a unified vision and common objective, and in a common direction. S/He must have and an ability to convince others into following in his direction and possess an ability to build and maintain strong, trust based long-term relationships with others
