Biocon - Manager - SCM & Cold Chain Logistics

To plan and execute logistics projects with focus on cold chain excellence for commercial & non-commercial products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identification, planning and executing logistics projects for improving operational efficiency, focused customer support, improved quality and compliance in logistics operations.

2. Identification, planning and executing cold chain excellence projects for improving operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in cold chain operations.

3. Business process mapping, bottleneck identification and mitigation, improving process controls and improvements through Standard Operating Procedures.

4. Evaluate technical & commercial feasibility of various active and passive controlled temperature transport solutions in logistics distribution.

5. Qualification and validation of shortlisted active and passive controlled temperature transport solutions.

6. Qualification and validation of controlled temperature transport lanes for air and sea shipment.

7. Finalization and implementation of SOP's for compliance of Good Distribution Practices

8. Leading CFT consisting of representative from Marketing, SCM-Planning, Production, QA, Regulatory, BRM, IT for program management to ensure project progress as per schedule.

9. To ensure allocation of available resources and to make optimal strategic choices to help the organization reach the goal.

10. To set clearly defined goals and performance parameters for each team member.

11. To ensure regular reviews of the progress against the set objectives jointly with the team member.

12. Periodical MIS related to the function.

Educational Qualification:

- Qualification: Graduate in Science/ Pharmacy/Engineering with MBA from leading institute.

- Specialization: Supply Chain and Cold Chain Logistics
