Biocon - Manager - Global Mobility/Total Rewards (8-10 yrs)

Role Summary :

- Biocon Biologics is looking for Global Mobility Specialist to join our Total Rewards team at Biocon Biologics. Global Mobility plays a key role in ensuring the right talent can be mobilised at the right time. We are currently reviewing the organization's approach to mobility and are looking for a Mobility Expert to work with our HR, Legal, Travel and Admin Team in developing our approach and to deliver it to the business.

- The member will deliver operational excellence and provide subject matter expertise and advice for our HR, Admin and Finance team members who currently help organize our various mobility programmes on the ground. Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, this role will be a key appointment in the creation of our central mobility function. The role provides the person with the opportunity to build capability and awareness of various mobility programs across the global network, with specific focus on Senior Leadership movement.

- Incumbent's primary objective will be to work with our HR Team to build a strong mobility function which provides clear and consistent advice on mobility across the organization, ensuring best in class employee experience . Member will help develop mobility policies and processes that are best practice amongst global pharma firms and will provide specialist guidance to regional and local office HR staff to enable them to organise transfers in an effective fashion and to handle a range of queries from key stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

The successful applicant will be responsible for :

- Working with our HR team to develop new policies, and encourage their consistent application. Subsequently managing the roll out of the new policies throughout the organization.

- Reviewing global mobility process and ensuring it is efficient, effective, competitive, sustainable, and progressive.

- Managing our international programs. This will involve reviewing cost estimates, reporting, tracking, and formal approval of requests.

- Advising the business and HR staff on the application of the correct policy and global funding availability, and providing guidance on the selection of the appropriate policy for employee mobility. Consulting with managers and assignees on assignment packages, immigration and HR policy issues.

- Managing the relationship and arrangements with key external providers for destination services, tax advice, and immigration advice where required, to ensure that Global Mobility service delivery is 'fit for purpose' and effectively delivered to assignees and offices.

- Reviewing and managing mobility budgets, liaising with Global Finance and reviewing reports where required.

- Working with Regional HR Managers to address feedback on how to enhance and improve the facilitation of mobility arrangements for local offices and practice groups.

- Working in partnership with the local office staff and Regional HR in respect of assignment initiations, review and approval of assignment documentation and financial arrangements.

- Ensure that high quality support is provided to Senior Executives and employees moving internationally on assignment, acting on feedback where required.

- The global point of contact and escalation for internal service delivery issues, and responsibility for co-ordination of global process consistency and continuous improvement.

Job Holder Requirements :

Essential Criteria :

- Bachelor/Master's degree qualifications. Specialization in accounting is preferable.

- Eight years+ previous experience as a Global Mobility specialist or manager (professional services experience advantageous).

- Expert knowledge of global mobility processes including, package review, international payroll, experience with immigration/visa requirements, roles and responsibilities of local office staff, finance methodology, relocation advice, and a sound grasp of what makes mobility programs successful for all stakeholders.

- Ideally incumbent will have experience in launching a new mobility programme or approach in an organisation.

- General knowledge of Expat Tax and salary/payroll related issues.

- Proven experience in engaging with senior executive leadership.

Technical and Personal Skills :

- Strong customer and internal client service focus. Ability to work in a dynamic, matrix and multicultural global business environment.

- Good commercial awareness and relationship management skills. .

- Strong external vendor relationship management skills, including ability to co-ordinate local requirements as part of global vendor agreements, monitoring and auditing performance, quality and compliance

- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize workloads.

- Strong planning and organizing ability.

- Team player with excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills

- Familiarity with computer software programs, advance spreadsheet and power point skills
