The Indian agricultural sector is estimated to be worth $300 Bn and generates employment for 58% of the Indian population. However, the processes and agri trading practices in this sector have remained unchanged for decades. Over the past few years, we have designed digital solutions that help agri traders tackle challenges at key points in their trading journey.

Bijak users are majorly composed of B2B traders who control 80% of this $300 Bn agri value chain. They have limited access to technology, information, and credit. Bijak helps these users - buyers, suppliers, MSMEs, corporate buyers - discover verified counterparties and trade with minimal friction by accessing Bijak's layer of trust and reliability.

Our success lies in understanding our users and creating an app that mirrors their trading process, while solving major pain points along the way. Role Title: QC Head - Fruits & Vegetables

Job Brief:

Lead the QC Team for inspecting and documenting all incoming fruits, vegetables, packaging materials and ensure all product quality standards are adhered to and perform routine quality and condition inspections on existing inventory to assist in first-in, first-out (FIFO) or worst-in, first-out (WIFO) stock rotation.

Job Responsibilities:

- To maintain standards and specifications of all raw materials (Vegetables & Fruits) ensuring standards as per FSSAI Compliance.

- Communicate Quality Assurance issues, including defect levels and problem loads, to Sales, Production, and QA managers.

- Maintain records of calibrations and supplies as needed to meet quality inspection requirements to ensure that company standards are met.

- Work closely with teams and warehouse departments to ensure effective stock rotation to reduce shrinkage.

- Ensure quality of product meets quality standards and communicate any inconsistency to sales, purchasing, management, and quality control department.

- Conduct both internal and external audits/visits & report audit results and implement new/existing activities to critically analyze and improve quality/safety gaps.

- Create processes and metrics of quality by observing and identifying areas in need of improvement and implement programs to ensure quality.

Candidate Profile:

- A bachelor's degree, PG/equivalent degree will be preferred with relevant experience of 6-10 years.

- Prior experience in fruits and vegetables segment.

- Should be passionate about the field of agriculture and should have an urge for learning.

- Good analytical skills.

- The ability to identify and intervene in problem areas, well-developed problem-solving skills.

- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
