Key Responsibility: - Strongly evangelize big basket's farmer connect program value proposition for farmers - Head the entire local direct farmer sourcing initiatives. This includes highly perishable and daily purchases of Fresh Fruit and vegetables - Build a sustainable and scalable sourcing network - Own farmer happiness and a better livelihood for farming families - Own fulfillment and pipeline building for local sourcing products - Explore new farming cluster for around-the-year supply at competitive market prices - Drive local F&V team to build strong farmer relationships - Hire, Train and develop a high-performance sourcing team - Set clear goals & targets and drive them effectively - Improve the productivity of the sourcing team by identifying and filling the current training gaps and performance management systems - Forecast demand and crop planning to be done on a quarterly basis - Daily indenting and inventory planning for the respective Dcs. - Coordinate with Operations and quality teams for the daily supplies and should be able to resolve the issues on a daily basis if any - Logistics planning and coordination on daily basis for the movement of stocks from CC to Dcs etc.. - Coordinate with national sourcing teams and product in-charges of National supplies. - Periodic wholesale market visits and competition awareness and get updated on the recent market price trends and seasonal range - Forecasting for procurement and planning of promotions variability to ensure minimum write-off and no out-of-stock. - The sale contribution improvement and meeting the target by managing the sales mix. - Zero complaints and managing the complaints, taking the feedback from customers and DC team and taking corrective actions accordingly. Desired Profile: - 6 to 7 years of strong sourcing experience of Fresh fruit and Vegetables from the retail / wholesale industry / Fruit and Vegetable specific processing Industries - Solid understanding of sales fundamentals and customer value proposition - Strong MS Excel and Presentation skills - Proven people manager and team builder. Must have managed at least 5 direct reportees and large layered teams - especially field sourcing team - Ability to motivate sourcing team to achieve targets, fostering a high level of team growth and contribution - Proven skills in Planning and process improvements - Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong commitment to improving things every day - Excellent eye for detail, able to deep dive, and good problem-solving skills - Ability to take decisions based on sound logical arguments - Self-starter/multi-tasker, confident and resourceful
