Roles and Responsibilities :


Key Responsibilities :

- The Bid Manager is a detail-oriented manager who leads the bid team through the pursuit process incorporating strategies, technical information, marketing materials and pricing. This individual owns and manages the process and ensures the delivery of timely, client-specific professional technical and commercial proposals. The Bid Manager serves as the project manager for the pursuit he is assigned to, overseeing the proposal function and is ultimately responsible for managing all aspects of the pursuit proposal deliverables.

- The Bid Manager works with rest of the GMP team to evaluate opportunities and identify key proposal issues. This individual must also develop and communicate the pursuit schedule and assignments, and direct (with guidance from the pursuit leader) the technical and business teams during all phases of the pursuit.


- Working closely with Delivery, Supply Chain, Technology SMEs, Marketing, Finance, Taxation and Legal, the Bid Manager and his/her team manage all aspects of the preparation and completion of the proposals including assembling and editing technical input into the document, formatting the document, draft preparation for technical team review, and proofreading the text.

- The Bid Manager is an internally recognized specialist on complex technical and business matters and works with key stakeholders to ensure that the client solution is understood and feasible.

Job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following :

- Involves in early phases of Prospect and Development of an opportunity.

- Work closely with the Pursuit Leader and Client Sales Executive, joins them in customer meetings as required to ensure all elements of the order are addressed and documented

- Develops a detailed pursuit milestone plan and manages it daily to ensure all tasks and activities are on track for completion by their assigned due dates

- Works with the Bid Team to generate technical and commercial proposals in support of assigned opportunities including scope development, costing, pricing and terms, conditions negotiation/resolution, execution plans and creative solutions

- Reviews bid specifications of overall requirements

- Prepare Master Document List (MDL) of specifications receive from clients, keep MDL updated on revision history and alignment with team

- Improve proposal productivity and quality including content changes and use of standardized tools and processes

- Interface with clients, suppliers/partners, affiliates, and other functional personnel, as needed to ensure the delivery of a thorough, professional proposal to the client

- Arranges all GMP Reviews and ensures meeting materials are ready for review, and that all meeting attendees are on notice to attend these reviews as scheduled

- Manage all Technical and Commercial Clarifications with team, ensuring all information are well documented
