BharatPe | Project Manager

A. Role and Responsibilities :

3 Broad set of responsibilities :

- Project scoping

- Project planning & budgeting

- Project tracking

1. Project scoping :

a. Determine and define project scope and objectives, in collaboration with the Product manager

2. Project planning & budgeting :

a. Develop a detailed project schedule and work plan

b. Assess resources needed to achieve the project objectives

c. Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements

d. Assess and drive the selection of vendors/ service providers as needed for different aspects of the project

3. Project tracking :

a. Track progress against the project plan, and closely monitor critical paths/activities

b. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

c. Raise flags in case of delays, bottlenecks and define & implement potential solutions to overcome these

d. Manage resources in an efficient manner as needed (e.g., re-deployment among activities)

e. Track project costs in order to meet budget

f. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

g. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

B. Qualifications & Experience :

- Bachelor degree in computer science, IT, science, or any engineering discipline

- MBA, Master's degree preferred

- 5-8 years of project management and related experience in an IT services/ IT consulting setup

- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

C. Other skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills (structuring, hypothesis-driven, ability to create both top-down and bottom-up views)

- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle; with proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

- Experience in handling high performing IT engineering/ tech teams

- Excellent analytical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills, need to be resourceful &enterprising (given the high growth startup environment)
