Better is looking for an analytically minded enthusiast to work alongside our Revenue Operations &amp; Insights Team to drive data strategy, integrity, and standardization solutions. The Data Analyst will work cross-functionally across many teams to drive data cleanliness, conduct experiments and synthesize results; develop and leverage technology to identify and track KPIs and generate key reporting packages; and help to implement sales and operations effectiveness strategies. As the company continues to grow, this individual will be key in driving our ability to create win-wins for Better and our borrowers. Responsibilities Include: - Advocating for data standards and participating in data governance strategy discussions by working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modifications - Determining data validity; implementing data quality checks; removing corrupted data and debugging coding errors; optimizing queries - Using advanced working experience of SQL to identify trends in information and applies analytical thinking - Understanding business problems, propose and independently implement immersive data analytics solutions and generate actionable insights - Drafting responses to time-sensitive data requests from team members that are accurate, digestible, and easy to understand - Adhering to the highest standards of coding practices - Performing special projects as assigned by the Director About You: - 3-7 years of experience - You are an expert in SQL - You have strong attention to detail and are naturally curious, with an interest in solving complex problems; the only thing you like more than puzzles is solving them - You have experience using BI visualization tools (i.e. Looker, Tableau) - You enjoy working with large data sets in relational database environments - You can respond to information requests quickly and on short notice - You work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment - You have excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
