VP/ AVP, Finance - NBFC (6-8 years), Nagpur About the Company: The Company is a deposit taking non-banking finance company (- NBFC- ) focused on 2-wheeler, used car financing and personal loans. The Company is a fast growing NBFC and is backed by a private equity firm. The Company aims to diversify into additional secured and unsecured lending products over the next few years. It is currently looking to hire a strong finance professional for the position of VP/AVP, Finance who will be managing its finance, accounts and taxation (both direct and indirect) related functions based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra. The incumbent will play a critical role in implementing the financial business strategy. The entire accounting and finance, day to day cash management and statutory audit teams will report to him/her. Key Responsibilities: - Primary responsibility would be supervising finance, accounts and taxation functions; - Preparation of Financial accounts as per I GAAP and IND AS - Work closely with senior management in formulating the Company's business plan, future direction and support strategic initiatives; - Co-ordinating with relevant functional departments to strengthen internal controls related to lending and other related operating activities; - Owning financial responsibilities including financial reporting, budgetary management and presentation to the management and to the Board of Directors; - Assist in liaising with Banks and Financial Institutions for setting up credit limits, short term & long-term borrowings and investments and fulfilling all the data requirement of all these FIs; - Managing investor relations including investor reporting and assisting in equity fund raising activities; - Representing the Company before institutional investors, PE firms, mutual funds, banks, rating agencies, debenture trustees, registrars, brokers/intermediaries; - Developing financial strategies at an organizational level by contributing to financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; - Participating in the corporate decision-making process as a member of the management team with joint responsibility for the development of long-term corporate strategies and company policies; - Ensuring prudent management of the Company's cash, asset liability mismatch, flows and associated financial risk exposures in line with Board approved directives/strategies; - Providing leadership to all members of the accounts and finance; fostering a culture of team spirit, co-operation and continuous self-development within the above-mentioned departments. Qualifications and Requirements: The Applicant should have the following experience/ qualifications: - CA/ MBA (Finance) with atleast 8 years of post-qualification experience in NBFC/Small Finance Bank/HFC/MFI industries; - Experience in leading teams; - Controllership experience; - Experience in evaluating and implementing Financial & Management Reporting Systems; - Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with the various stakeholders; and - Experience in fund raise with connects across NBFCs, Banks, Mutual Funds, FIs who are active in NBFC lending space will be an added advantage.
