BeatO - Data Scientist

Role - To work on the new Product Launch by researching and developing new production processes.

Key Result Areas

- Define and lead the overall product vision, scope, requirements, usability of end user facing products

- Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

- Leverage market knowledge data to amplify product development

- Develop data pipelines and warehousing strategies that prepare data collected from a product for robust analysis

- Learn techniques to evaluate data from live products, including how to design and execute various A/B and multivariate tests to shape the next iteration of a product

- Evaluate the output captured in statistical analyses and translate them into insights to inform product decisions

- Ability to work with large data sets and present conclusions to key stakeholders

Role Specifications:

Experience

- At least 4 years' experience as a Data Scientist.

- Hands-on Experience with Master Data Management, modeling, mining, data science and governance.

Skills Required :

- Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

- Experience working with and creating data architectures.

- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

- Experience analysing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Core metrics, Ad words, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
