Senior Associate - Audit and Assurance
Job Role :
- To conduct the audit assignments for different industry segments in accordance with the BDO Audit Methodology
- Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- To apply technical capabilities to resolve the issues, to seek guidelines from senior on timely basis
- Report to the Senior/ Manager of any critical issues identified during the course of the audit
- To ensure timely completion of the assignments as per agreed deadlines without compromising the quality of work
- Prepare initial draft of reports or other client and external communications
- Effectively and proactively utilize basic capabilities of audit technology tools and other firm standard technologies to perform and document work in assigned areas
- Develop understanding of client industries and identify value added recommendations
- Responsible to the engagement manager for day to day client contact and conduct of audit work
- Make recommendations that reflect understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and risks inherent to clients business/industry
- Collaborate with other team members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents
- Finalization of Audit reports, financial statements and group reporting packs.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting in accordance with CARO 2003 requirements
- Managing the complete planning and management activities for ensuring completion of audits within time and cost budgets
- Ensure proper documentation of audit work performed in line with the firms documentation standards
