About the Role :

BBA is expanding its research capabilities to cover the blockchain and seeking to recruit a technology analyst with special focus on listed companies that are likely to benefit from the blockchain theme. The successful candidate will be an independent thinker and blockchain enthusiast with buy-side experience in the technology sector and will specialize in deep-dive research of both listed companies and start-ups. The candidate will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary research team contributing towards the generation of actionable investment ideas for the firm and its clients.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct in-depth research on blockchain focused listed and private companies with an aim of generating superior returns

- Develop new strategies that help the firm to invest in technology-driven startups

- Develop sectoral themes surrounding blockchain technology

- Track and monitor trends in blockchain tech innovation and mainstream adoption

- Maintain databases tracking key indicators in the technology/blockchain sectors

- Develop financial models for listed and private companies under coverage

- Write research reports to communicate ideas and themes

Skills/Experience :

- Passion about blockchain technology is a must

- Have an in depth understanding the drivers of the tech industry

- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis for technology-driven companies

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills

- Understanding various metrics in analyzing startup companies

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred

- Should be self-driven and detail oriented with an analytical mindset

- Should be a proactive and quick learner, a team player showing enthusiasm and drive to accomplish results in a fast-paced environment

- Minimum 4 years of technology equity research work experience

- Minimum 2 years of buy-side work experience

Qualifications :

- MBA/MS/Engineering/Accounting backgrounds

- CFA is preferred
