What is it

We are a team of tech lovers and problem solvers building a disruptive product in Ed-tech space.

Who are we

The co founders you will be working with are both engineers from BITS Pilani with industry experience. We are at the prototype stage,So you are joining in the early stage of startup. We have a team that's between 1-10 employees.

What we want

We want a CTO/Co founder who is excited to work in a tech startup & build a product from ground up. We- re looking for someone who can build an MVP for an ML/NLP based desktop software. We are looking for someone who is an expert in NLP, ML, building Desktop applications, Full stack development and in software development. We're expecting an ability to provide technical leadership, an organized and creative mindset that drives you to find innovative solutions to problems and establish a technical vision for the company.

Good analytical skills, rigour in the study of a problem, ability to learn and curiosity. Initiative, creativity and autonomy will be appreciated skills for this mission.

Role and responsibilities

- Work closely with the founder on important decision-making, understand the domain requirements and come up with the MVP product that solves the pain point of targeted end users. Also, Shaping the product as per user's feedback to make it market fit.

- Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.

- Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.

- Outline the goals for research and development.

- Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.

- Acting as a mentor to team members.

- Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of product to market.

- Managing technology budgets and time frames.

- Staying on top of technology trends and developments.

- Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.

- Creating product roadmaps and deadlines according to the features discussed.

- Ensure that core technology infrastructure scales in line with business requirements

- Represent the technological agenda in meetings and aid in making hiring decisions

- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.

- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.

Tech skills

- You have deep expertise and understanding of Natural language Processing. You must have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining NLP based projects that includes information extraction, key-word extraction, relationship extraction, language modeling, Information retrieval, summarization.

- You must be proficient in collecting (Scrapping), preprocessing, analyzing dataset and choosing features in order to get the best output using Machine-learning models as per domain requirement. Moreover, you should know how to build hybrid algorithms for a global product.

- You should have in-depth knowledge of building sophisticated mobile and web applications. You must be able to use AWS and server architecture. You would need to build the best in class backend and database architecture that could be scalable as our product is improved. You should have command over backend and database languages such as MySQL, Node.js, MongoDB.

- You must have knowledge of building applications for Web applications using either hybrid applications like Ionic\React Native or Native platform.

Other tech requirements -

- Computer science degree from a premier institute

- Hands-On Experience - NLP, ML, Deploying ML based software products, react JS, React Native, HTML5, CSS, Version Control, Deployment and Hosting.

- Experience In Developing Native Application(s).

- Good Knowledge of UI/UX Design Front End of Applications.

- Knowledge of WebApp (Web Application)

- Good Knowledge of API (Application Programming Interface) Model Integration.

- 3 - 5 years- experience in NLP, software development, building native applications, building desktop software

- At least 5 years of total experience with 3+ years on above technologies

- A dreamer, a tech architect and a hands-on developer all rolled into one

Past founders, CTOs/Head of Technology & related roles are strongly encouraged to apply.

Nice to have / added pluses

- Bachelor's degree in CSE from top tier collages (IIT/IIITH/BITS/NIT) and good academic record (MS, PHD is a plus)

- Tech leadership experience in a startup or top notch tech companies (Google, MS, Amazon etc)

- Experience in managing products as Product Manager highly recommended.

What you'll get

As this is an early-stage startup on the design stage and not full-fledged yet, an amount of equity will be mutually agreed upon and will be provided until the company receives the first round of investment. After the first round, the salary will be provided accompanied by other benefits.
